Any idea why Kemba’s adjusted +/- was so bad when his unadjusted was good? He and Diaw were flipped that way — unadjusted, Diaw was in the negative, whereas adjusted, he was the only positive Bobcat.
Also, I think it’s worth looking at true shooting percentage in addition to/more than EFG because TSP takes into account free throws, which EFG does not. (see here http://www.basketball-reference.com/about/glossary.html) I believe Chris stated the formula for TSP, not EFG. As Scott rightly noted noted, Kemba has done a good job of getting to the line, which makes his efficiency numbers a bit better, though still not excellent. (Same point holds for Deron Williams generally, though I agree re: his diminishing quickness, reliance on the jump shot, etc., and that shows in his lack of FT attempts this year — lowest since his 2nd year in the league.)
